Terms of use

Last updated 3 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of thyro.health ("we" and "us"). They cover the thyro.health iPhone app and this website. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Not medical advice

thyro.health helps you record and organize your health information. It does not give medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a medical device.

The app shows the numbers you enter alongside the ranges and targets you enter. It does not tell you what they mean for your health.

Always talk to your doctor before changing your medication or treatment. Never ignore professional advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you saw in the app or on this website. If you feel unwell, contact your doctor. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Reminders are a convenience. Please don't rely on them as your only way of remembering to take medication.

2. Who can use thyro.health

You must be at least 18 years old to use the app.

3. Your licence

We give you a personal licence to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's usage rules. You can't transfer this licence to anyone else. You may not copy, resell, modify or reverse engineer the app, except where the law gives you that right.

4. Your data

Everything you log is stored on your iPhone. We cannot see it, restore it or recover it for you. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for keeping backups. If you delete the app or lose your phone without a backup, your records will be gone.

Our privacy policy explains this in more detail.

5. Premium, subscriptions and payments

  • Most of the app is free. thyro Premium unlocks extra features, which are listed in the app.
  • Premium is offered as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription or a one time lifetime purchase. Prices and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. If you start a free trial, the paid subscription begins when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
  • You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Settings on your iPhone. Tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • A lifetime purchase lasts for as long as we offer the app.
  • Purchases are handled by Apple, so refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • If your Premium ends, your records stay on your phone and the free features keep working.

6. Using the app fairly

Don't use the app or the website in a way that breaks the law, and don't try to interfere with how they work.

7. Our content

The app, the website, the thyro.health name and all related designs and text belong to us. Articles on this website are general information only and are not medical advice.

8. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.

If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies to it, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.

We, not Apple, are responsible for dealing with any claims relating to the app. That includes product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection claims and intellectual property claims.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country that is under a US government embargo, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

9. No warranty

We work hard to make the app reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will be free of errors, always available or suitable for a particular purpose.

10. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for loss of data, or for decisions you make about your health or treatment. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live.

11. Changes

We may update the app and these terms. When the terms change, we will update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the app after a change, the new terms apply.

We may stop offering the app in future. If that happens, your records stay on your phone, and you can export them from Settings.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Hyderabad, India have jurisdiction over disputes. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.
